Compressed Workweek


Definition:


A compressed workweek schedule redistributes the job responsibilities of a standard workweek over fewer than five days in one week or ten days in two weeks.

Employees on compressed workweeks work more hours on some days and fewer or no hours on others.  However, they remain full-time employees.
